INTRODUCTION

 

Epco Builders Limited is one of the most renowned Building and Civil Engineering firms in Kenya, registered in category NCA 1 by the National Construction Authority.  It was established in 1978 by Mr. Ramji D. Varsani who is the Managing Director. The firm has grown under his leadership and experience of over 40 years.

 

The Company’s headquarters are in its own building complete with workshops located along Kuguru Road on Falcon Road, off Enterprise Road in Industrial Area, Nairobi. The Branch Office is located on Steve Biko Road, Tudor in Mombasa.  Epco owns a yard located along Mombasa Road near Athi-River where heavy equipment and the batching plants are installed.

Epco has broadened its goals and diversified into new fields with new technologies and has maintained continued success by looking ahead and always learning from the past.

GROWTH AND MARKET SHARE

Epco Builders Limited gained experience in construction and achieved tremendous growth over the period in terms of profitability and capacity building through expansion of departments and acquisition of new plant and equipment. The various departments are; Projects, Finance & Accounts, Automobile, Steel Fabrication, Purchase and Supplies, Joinery and Timber, Rebar, Central Stores, Transport, and Precast Concrete and Batching. The departments have enabled the company enhance quality control by fully executing projects in house.

 

The company also has built over that period good working relationship with Clients and Professionals which has led to it undertaking several projects with the same Clients and Consultants. For those reasons coupled with the ability and desire to undertake projects at any location within the region, Epco has managed to secure a reasonable market share and is still growing.

Epco Builders Limited was incorporated as a limited company in 1977 and registered in category ‘A’, NCA 1 for Building Works and Civil Engineering Works and licensed by City Council of Nairobi as Plumbers and Drain Layers.

 

Epco Builders is compliant to the Kenya Government regulations and is V.A.T registered No. 0021511V, PIN No. P00061483R. Epco Builders Limited attained ISO Certification in 2003.
